Crispy Apple Cider Margarita - featured image

A light, crisp, and seasonal cocktail featuring fresh apple cider, blanco tequila, and lime juice, finished with a homemade cinnamon sugar rim for a perfect balance of sweet and tart flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces blanco tequila
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 3 ounces fresh apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for rim)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for rim)
  • Ice (large cubes preferred)
  • Lime wedge (for wetting rim)

Instructions

  1. Mix two tablespoons of granulated sugar with one teaspoon of ground cinnamon on a small plate until evenly distributed.
  2. Run a lime wedge around the outer rim of a glass and dip it into the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat. Set aside.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine two ounces of blanco tequila, one ounce of fresh lime juice, and three ounces of apple cider.
  4. Fill the shaker with ice, packing it in as much as possible.
  5. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the drink is cold.
  6. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  7. Garnish with an apple slice or cinnamon stick if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh apple cider rather than juice for better flavor. Ensure the lime juice is fresh, not bottled. Shake vigorously to aerate the drink. For a non-alcoholic version, swap tequila for a non-alcoholic spirit or extra cider. For a spicy kick, muddle jalapeño slices before shaking.
