Easy, crispy, and golden party appetizers made with smoked sausage, crescent roll dough, and a savory garlic-butter topping. Perfect for game day or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 to 1.5 lbs smoked sausages (kielbasa or cheddar-smoked)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut smoked sausages into 1.5-inch pieces.
  3. Unroll crescent roll dough and press perforations together to form solid sheets.
  4. Cut dough into triangles (approx. 2-inch wide base).
  5. Place one sausage piece at the wide end of each triangle and roll tightly toward the point, pinching the end to seal.
  6. Place rolls seam-side down on a parchment-lined rimmed baking sheet, leaving 1 inch of space between each.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, garlic powder, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, and sea salt.
  8. Brush the tops of the rolls generously with the butter mixture.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until deep golden brown and puffy.
  10. Cool on the pan for 2 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Ensure dough is cold for easier handling and flakier results. Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure crispiness. If baking from frozen, add 5 minutes to cooking time. For gluten-free option, use gluten-free crescent dough.
